Shaw Aero Devices, now serving as a subsidiary of Parker-Hannifin Corporation, was a designer and manufacturer of various aerospace components and equipment such as caps, adapters, valves, floats, aircraft fuel management systems, postboosters, and much more. Shaw Aero Devices was first established in 1954, born out of a need to strengthen the engineering capabilities of the parent company. Over the following years, the company quickly established itself as a global leader of engineering specialty aerospace components, creating industry standards for a number of systems.
Over the following years, Shaw Aero Devices continued to expand, and the 1959 formation of Shaw Development, LLC pushed Shaw Aero Devices into the ground vehicle market. From there, the company introduced the manufacturing of fuel cap components that find use on off-road trucks and military, construction, and mining vehicles. In 2007, Parker Aerospace acquired Shaw Aero Devices and integrated it into their Air & Fuel division which is located in Irvine, California. Since then, Shaw Aero Devices has continued to act as a subsidiary of Parker Aerospace’s parent company, Parker-Hannifin.
